In 1975 and 1976, French photographer Bernard Lessing first arrived in Northern Ireland to capture dynamic and insightful images of a troubled country. For more than 40 years he has returned to a completely different political landscape. He again based his work on the people he met, and collected not only remarkable pictures, but also 21 testimonials. The result is a disturbing view of the journey of the people of this country that leaves us with a note of hope for the future.
Meeting with Bernard Lessing, photographer and academic Karen Bigand around Northern Ireland, and projection of photographs. The discussion will be in French and English.
