Netflix has released the first date and first trailer for its new youth series “Tiny Pretty Things”, which has been described as a mix of the “Pretty Little Layers” series and the movie “Black Swan”: the death of a Nigu at a famous ballet school, the most successful student to date.
The series is titled “Your Last Solo” in Germany, and a book by Sona Charaipotra and Dhoni Clayton has been published in the country. The ten-part Kick Off Season 2020 will be released on December 14th.
The most well-known actress of the cast, mostly young newcomers, is Lauren Holly, whose career ranged from “Picket Fence” to “Dum and Dumber” and more recently to “Motive” and “Appointed Survivor”. They present Monique, the director of the famous Archer School of Ballet (ASB) in Chicago, and the things behind it are not right. Monique is a previously successful dancer with a hand in the water.
When the young star of ASB falls from the roof of a ballerina, some suspect – rightly so – that she was killed. But the school management around Monique spread the news that he had been in a terrible accident. Anyway, Nevia (Kylie Jefferson), who was actually kicked out of school, moves into the empty space – so the shark enters the tank. While adults fight for the reputation of the school and its place in it, students are at once friends and bitter enemies: they are the only ones who understand the challenges and pressures that weigh down individual students. Compete with them on the meaning of achievement. No one at this school has anything Plan b, Everything here is under success as a dancer …
