The four members of the new group, known as the “Pioneers of the World” (Irish Music Magazine), have been exploring the connection between Ireland’s and Iran’s ancestral musical traditions since its formation in 2016.

We conclude the St. Patrick’s Day Festival by celebrating the Persian New Year in Norse. Described as “pioneers on the world stage” (Irish Music Magazine), Four members of the Nava Group have been exploring the relationship between Ireland and Iran’s ancestral musical traditions since its formation in 2016. The Coohe brothers – Shahab of Santoor and Shayan on percussion and tar – were joined by two folk and bluegrass musicians, the most creative and versatile bassist, Nial Hughes, as well as the respected bancho player Paddy Keenan. Tonight they will release their third album, Touranj, and present an unreleased track commissioned by CCI from Shahab Kuhe. A promise as delightful.

Nava will also do this March 20 at 2.30pm. At CCI Chapel for St. Patrick’s Family Day (Admission is free subject to availability)!

You too can join in the festivities this afternoon Chicken Ballet Show Powered by Blogger 1:30 and 3:30 p.m..
