On Countrywide Handloom Working day on Friday, Primary Minister Narendra Modi saluted these related with the handloom and handicrafts sector and urged individuals to bolster attempts toward a self-reliant India.

The Countrywide Handloom Day is observed annually on August 7 to honour the handloom weavers in the state and also emphasize India’s handloom marketplace. The Union governing administration experienced declared this working day as the National Handloom Working day in July 2015 with the objective of producing consciousness about the relevance of the handloom marketplace in the socio-economic improvement of the country.
