NASA warns of giant asteroid passing near Earth next Saturday (30); 'Dangerous' - Metro World News Brazil

A NASA (US space agency) has issued a new warning about an asteroid passing near Earth this week.

Officially the name is ‘.531944 (2013 CU83)′, the space object will pass close to our planet next Saturday (30).

As revealed by the NASA website, the asteroid has a giant diameter of about 320 meters (various measurements).

This celestial body, belonging to the ‘Apollo’ group, is now moving very fast.

NASA’s JPL classified it as a “Potentially Hazardous Asteroid” because it was predicted to pass close to Earth.

However, despite the proximity of space (a warning issued by NASA), this may cause some concern, and fortunately, there is no chance of a collision.

NASA warns of asteroid that will pass close to Earth next Saturday (30).

This celestial body is about three times the size of the Statue of Liberty.

As detailed by NASA’s ‘Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS)’, the asteroid can be tracked continuously. Here.

On NASA’s approach list, asteroid ‘531944 (2013 CU83)’ is expected to come within 4.3 million miles of Earth on Saturday night.

Still according to the information, it may seem far away, but it is actually very close in the larger dimension of space. Check the diagram:
