The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Friday, April 15 that it is monitoring dozens of cases of hepatitis in children in the United Kingdom. The UK initially reported 10 cases of severe hepatitis in Scotland on April 5, and a total of 74 cases will be reported in three days, the World Health Organization said in a statement. New reports are expected in the coming days. In some cases they have to be transferred to a ward with liver disease and six children have to be transplanted, the World Health Organization said. Fewer than five confirmed or possible cases have been reported in Ireland, and all three cases continue in Spain. No deaths were reported.

This hepatitis mainly affects children under 10 years of age and is manifested by symptoms such as jaundice, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain. British health authorities have recently indicated that they are testing the theory of a type of virus (adenovirus) and other possible causes, such as Kovid, as it has not been found in children infected with the common hepatitis virus (A to E). -19, other infections or environmental factors. However, they denied any connection with the Kovid vaccine, which has not been provided in any of the confirmed cases in the United Kingdom.

WHO “closely monitors situation”

In a statement, Mira Chand of the UK Health Safety Agency (UKHSA) pointed out that “routine hygiene practices such as hand washing” can help reduce many of the infections we seek, and urged parents and babysitters to be wary of signs. Hepatitis, and “contact a health care professional if you are concerned.” The WHO has said it has detected “several cases” of Kovid-19 and / or adenovirus, which are on the rise in the UK, but their role in the development of the disease is “not yet clear”.

The World Health Organization (WHO) maintains that “no other epidemic risk factor has been identified, including recent international trips” and that it “monitors the situation closely” and recommends no travel restrictions with the United Kingdom. United and other countries where the cases were found.
