The changes made by the telecom companies will take effect from January 15. If you are going to make a call from landline to mobile, read this first.
Mumbai, January 14: We see many rules changing every year in the New Year. This year is no exception. There will be a small change in the mobile number from tomorrow, i.e. from January 15, 2021. This will change the mobile numbers of all companies across the country. This is the rule for landline calls to mobile phones across the country.
According to this rule, when making a mobile call from a landline, it is mandatory to put a zero before the number. Last November, the Department of Telecommunications approved Troy’s proposal. It claims to allow telecom service providers to generate more numbers. So now you have to say your new number and new number.
Troy had made some recommendations to change the way numbers are dialed from landline to mobile. The Department of Telecommunications said in a press release on November 20 that it had accepted the recommendations. Accordingly, it is mandatory to set zero when calling from landline to mobile.
Now all telecom companies should provide zero dial facility to all landline customers. This feature is currently available for calling outside your area. Telecom companies have been given until January 1 to implement the new system. But now this thing will be implemented from tomorrow.
All companies will now notify customers of this new change. The change in dialing pattern will allow telecom companies to generate an additional 254.4 crore for mobile services. This will definitely bring benefits in the future.
