Redmond, December 17 – Microsoft and Tic Tac Join. The Chinese social network has released an improved version of its application in line with Microsoft’s new Surface Duo smartphone, which is currently coming to the US, Canada, UK, Germany and France in early 2021.
Is this a great way to reach customers who can’t afford a video sharing platform?
“We’re delighted to launch Tic Tac Toe, an enhanced application that brings new experiences that illuminate the Surface Duo,” Microsoft explains in a blog post.
The Surface Duo, Microsoft’s new smartphone, is drawing the most downloaded application in 2020 to use the two screens.
“You can find customized videos for you, optimized for both screens, while exploring relevant hashtags, the latest trends and more,” the blog post continues.
Now in the US, this enhanced Tic Tac Toe app for the Surface Duo lets users view the feed “for you” on one screen, while searching for videos. This is a major partnership between the two companies, given the huge success of Tic Tac Toe in 2020 and the increased use of smartphones by stay-at-home orders around the world to prevent the spread of Kovid-19.
Prior to Tick Tock, Amazon Kindle and Spotify also improved their applications on the Surface Duo for a better user experience, Microsoft explains. A few months ago, Microsoft tried to buy the US operations of Tic Tac Toe after the US government threatened to ban Chinese social networks in the US.
