Max Verstappen declined interviews for a Netflix documentary

Munich – The current Formula 1 season will be with Netflix again. The documentary series “Drive to Survive” has become very popular in recent years.

“I’m not a fan of drama!”

Max Verstappen will no longer attend. The Dutchman is no longer available for interviews with the series’ producers. He does not want the statements to be misrepresented: “I’m decided not to be a part of it anymore, and no interviews have been given since, because you can not show anything anymore. I’m not a fan of the play, I want the facts. And the things that actually happen.”

In the third season, the competition between McLaren drivers Carlos Science and Lando Norris was exaggerated. There, the radio messages were torn from the context and transferred to another situation. Verstappen now fears a fight with record world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen wants to know why the series’ makers are adopting these approaches: “I understand it needs to be done to increase popularity in the United States, but from a driver’s point of view, I do not want to be a part of it.”

Formula 1 will visit Austin, Texas over the weekend. The competition will then take place in the “Circuit of the Americas”. You can watch it here all weekend Ran Follow on live ticker. It starts with the first free training on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
