BERLIN (DPA) – Actor and filmmaker Matthias Schweiffer (40) calmly acknowledges the occasional resemblance to four-year-old musician Tim Bendsco.
“A woman at the gas station came to me once excitedly and enthusiastically: Tell me, not you … Then she began to sing:” Save the world for a moment … “” The movie said, “Sdeddeutsche Zeitung”‘s streaming service star since the weekend. “I sometimes misunderstand Tim Bendsko, but I know he will misunderstand me, too.
Schweighöfer is currently seen in the movie “Hinterland”. From the end of October he will have his Netflix movie “Army of Thieves” online. From a producer’s point of view, he sees the obvious benefit of streaming services: “Unfortunately, as a filmmaker, on movie release day, you often experience beautiful weather at 35 degrees – then you know: your movie is dead,” the 40-year-old explained. “Because if the first weekend gets bad, the cinemas push it to the sideline times, and after another week it disappears completely.” A little sunny weekend kills two years of work. “It doesn’t happen on streaming services.”
