Manufacturer Electronic Arts claims that hackers stole source code: It does not affect users |  Technology

Video game giant Electronic Arts (EA) said Thursday Hackers have stolen your source code and other program tools But the attack is unlikely to affect players or their business activities.

Wise Media reported that the code used for the games had been taken by pirates, and FIFA 21, the Frostbite engine used in many EA games.

“We are investigating a recent intrusion into our network A limited number of game resources and accessories were stolen ”, An EA spokesman said.

He added that no player data had been accessed and there was no reason to believe that players’ privacy was at risk.

EA said it was actively working with authorities and experts as part of the criminal investigation.

Varghese reports hackers bragging about attack on underground internet forums and a post allegedly read “You have the full potential to take advantage of all EA services.”

The report says cybercriminals encouraged the sale of stolen content on deep web forums.
