To mark the end of the 2021 season, Los Dos Lunaticos will host the alliance on October 23 at 8pm at the Green Ireland Host Trinity Heritage Site. Formed by Quebec guitarist and singer Yves Desrociers and Latino-Gaspian Juan Sebastian Larobina, the colorful duo will perform some of Latin America’s most beautiful folk and contemporary songs.
Inevitably, Yves Desrosierz has contributed to the dynamism of Quebec music for the past thirty years, especially as a singer, guitarist, composer, organizer and producer. Not to mention the many soundtracks from Quebec movies, he is behind the production of many great Quebec albums, including Jean Llope’s El Amore est Sans Pitch and Lhasa’s La Lorona. In 2021, Yves Desrosier released Nokta Soforo’s new album.
For his part, Juan Sebastian Larobina was born into a family of artists in Argentina. He grew up in Mexico, where he studied and taught music in schools in and around Mexico City. He was part of various musical groups in different Latin American countries that embodied unique knowledge, styles and folklore. In 1997, he moved to Gaspaci. He is a singer and lyricist who has produced three albums and several concerts.
“This acoustic show will give a hunting musical performance that goes directly into the hearts of the public and allows them to experience a real journey through South America,” said Odd Farnier, who is responsible for cultural programming in Ireland.
