The Ladies European Tour was in Ireland this week at Dromoland Castle Course for the KPMG Women’s Irish Open. A total of €400,000 was awarded to the best European players over four rounds on the 6,146-yard course. Czech Klara Spilkova finally won this KPMG Women’s Irish Open after four rounds ended in a three-player playoff. The 27-year-old returned a 67 (-5) in her final round, including a birdie on her 72nd hole to clinch a spot in the playoff.

Against Finland’s Ursula Wikstrom and Denmark’s Nicole Broch Estrup, the player from the Czech Republic was able to pull away from the game by signing a birdie on the first hole of the playoff. She could have even won if her chip for eagle on this par fifth hadn’t made a comma on the edge of the hole.

Klara Spilkova adds a second streak to her record on the Ladies European Tour with the KPMG Women’s Open trophy.

Camille Chevalier was the best French woman, far from victory, finishing 35th at -5. Agathe Sosson finished 45th. Anne-Lise Caudal is 46th and Lucy Malchirand is 61st.
