Kevin Sinfield’s efforts over the past week have not been emotional.

Now, on the final day of his seven marathon races in support of his former teammate Rob Barrow, his total fundraiser has crashed into a $ 1 million hurdle.

Former Leeds Rhinos and England captain Sinfield took up the challenge with the help of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

His goal was to raise $ 77,777, but his efforts to ensure that the final figure would surpass all expectations captured the heart of the nation.
