“This Sunday, the International Consortium of Journalists (ICIJ) released the first series of a series of projects called the Pandora Papers.

The reports are aimed at revealing the identities of shareholders of offshore structures.

Over the past week, loyal providers in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) have sent out notices to their customers that their systems have been hacked.

Currently, there is no evidence that files in the Cayman and Bahamas jurisdictions have been targeted by hackers associated with this set of reports.

The Pandora Papers scandal erupted this Sunday. Two-thirds of offshore companies reported violating the accounts are based in the British Virgin Islands (IVB), a jurisdiction that has long been known as a key player in the offshore system.
