The couple, traditionally dressed in green, later recalled their travels across the country: “We were so excited to visit Ireland a year ago, just a few weeks before the pandemic turned our lives upside down,” William said. Kate remembers the “warm welcome” they received across the country. Finally, William wishes everyone a safe festival – although this year’s celebrations may not go as they normally do on this day.
The video, published by the Irish government on Twitter, is titled “St. Patrick’s Day Messages from Our Friends Around the World”. The video also features US President Joe Biden, 78, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, 49, and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, 40. Every year on March 17 the Irish celebrate their National Saint and Patron, St. Patrick.
