The Irish Cultural Center (CCI) in Paris is presenting this great initiative in partnership with the Embassy of Ireland in France, the Embassy of France in Ireland, the Embassy of Senegal in France, the DFA and the Cork Midsummer Festival. Fête de la Musique 2022 Hop Artists from three countries, followed by concerts in Ireland at the Cork Midsummer Festival and in Senegal at the opening of the Irish Embassy in Dakar at the end of the year.
Liam Farrell, Franco-Irish composer and producer living between Dakar and Paris, alias Doctor L., will be the alchemist of this unprecedented collaboration between five internationally acclaimed artists – Nagaka Blinde (Senegal), J റോrgen, Salon (Sjrgen,) Accompanied by 3 musicians: Senny Camera (choreography / voice), Jean-Fi Dary (keyboards), Christoph Mink (multi-instrumentalist). During their one-week stay at CCI, they will combine their talents to deliver to the general public in France, Ireland and Senegal the effects of this unique blend of rap, R’n’B, afro-futurist electro-sol and beat-making. . A fun melting pot to celebrate music, cultures and peace between peoples together.
A hip hop music workshop will be held in Cork on June 24 with Vaka (France / Cameroon) and Jayronic (Ireland, DRC) on hip-hop performances and techniques to actively engage young audiences (ages 13-21). This project.
