The Union Ministry of Property Affairs has set up an inter-ministerial committee to probe the many violations of lawful provisions by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Belief and Indira Gandhi Memorial Have confidence in.

The committee will coordinate investigations into violation of provisions like the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA), Profits Tax Act and Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) by these foundations, a Household Ministry official mentioned.

The official mentioned that a Distinctive Director of Enforcement Directorate will head the committee.

The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation was set up on June 21, 1991.
