Users can enter stars on the preferred mode of transport.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, Jakarta – Google Maps is testing a feature to protect the selected transportation system in the beta version of the application. Page 9to5Google wrote Google Map Beta version 11.28 has a feature to choose from to save your preferred mode of transportation, including cars, public transportation, motorbikes, walking and cycling.

From the uploaded screenshot, users can enter stars of their preferred mode of transportation. When searching for a location, that mode of transport is preferred and appears in the best navigation directions.

Many users have found that this feature can be turned on by Google Assistant and the Google Maps application. The Android Police page found that this feature was found in the previous beta version 11.27.2.

Google Maps offers navigation options for cars, motorbikes, walking, public transportation, and bicycles. The search results displayed so far will refer to the mode of transport you selected when you last accessed the application.

For example, if they’ve last seen navigation for public transportation, users will see that mode of transport the next time they use Google Maps. On newer phones, the main setting of Google Maps is usually redirected to car navigation.
