Google is discontinuing the classic Hangouts service this year. Find out the details

Google has announced that it will be shutting down Classic Hangouts for free next November and migrating chats to the upgraded version of Hangouts Chat in the future.

By this time, the month you’ve been using Classic Hangouts has been revealed, because Google Enterprise customers have already switched to chat, and free and personalized accounts still running old Hangouts on Android and iOS will soon see an upgrade screen. It may prompt you to switch to chat with mobile chat clients on Gmail or platforms in one app.

The tech giant has advised users who want to keep a copy of their hangout data using Google Takeout to download it, and Google has added the option to edit documents, presentations and spreadsheets along with editing on the chat side.

Google Chat also has space, which is dedicated to a specific topic, and can be used to chat with Gmail’s new built-in offer, Inbox, Meat, and Space. Google has announced that it will add new features to the chat, such as Live Connect, Direct Connect on Space, and the ability to share and view multiple photos in the coming months.
