“I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position, to which I was appointed by the Judges of the United States District Courtroom for the Southern District of New York. I will step down when a presidentially appointed nominee is verified by the Senate,” Berman explained. “Until then, our investigations will shift ahead without the need of hold off or interruption.”
Berman’s rebuttal arrived about an hour immediately after the Division of Justice introduced Trump intends to nominate Jay Clayton, the chairman of the Securities and Trade Fee, who has never been a prosecutor.
