GDPR: 310 million euro fine against LinkedIn in Ireland

Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC), Pronounced On Thursday, October 24, LinkedIn (Microsoft) was fined a total of 310 million euros and banned from bringing its practices into compliance with the GDPR. The group was found guilty of a lack of legality, integrity and transparency in the processing of its users' personal data for behavioral analysis (Article 6 of the GDPR, Article 5-1.a of the GDPR) and targeting (Articles 13-1.c and 14-1. c). It imposes on its users checked boxes by default and tacit contractual provisions for data processing.
