Gauges in Sports Areas: To Be More Flexible With Vaccination Pass

Published on

How many spectators will there be at sports venues in February? The order, which is valid until January 23, can accommodate 2,000 people indoors and 5,000 outdoors. A new order is being prepared and is due to be discussed in the Defense Council this Thursday. When deputies and senators introduced amendments to the gauge, the government had the final say.

If this introduces the concept of proportionality, then the law of the vaccination pass, above all, provides a definite flexibility by allowing the limit to be assessed locally. The decree will define the framework and enable a gauge to be matched according to the characteristics and health status of the sport, which is evaluated locally according to hospital indicators.

Possible full gauge in case the situation improves?

The Ministry of Sports is working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health on the issue. Currently, in the worst case scenario, install 2,000 (indoor) or 5,000 gauge, and one seat in two, i.e. half to two thirds of the total capacity.

If conditions are to improve quickly, a full gauge, vaccination pass can reduce the risk of contamination. Arbitration will take place over the weekend. Football and rugby fans are watching this closely. In addition to the PSG-Real Madrid on Tuesday, February 15 at the Parc des Princes in the knockout stages of the Champions League, two matches of the Sixth Nations tournament are scheduled for Sunday, February 6 against Italy in Stade de France (60,000 seats) and against Ireland on Saturday, February 12 (80,000).
