It was a good day for France. Indeed, this Friday, the French men’s team and the French women’s team qualified for the quarter-finals of the Dubai stage of the World Rugby Sevens circuit, and first, the group stage began with two victories. First against Uganda (10-7). With the Ugandans taking the lead, the Tricolors were able to turn things around with two tries scored by Grandidier and then Fourner. Later, the Blue Army beat Spain (24-10). The Spaniards managed to register a total of two attempts. On the opposite side, the French performed well, scoring four tries, two of which were on target. Pasquet, Pares, Joseph and Huyard are the markers of these famous experiments. The Blues have validated their ticket for the quarter-finals. But their top spot in the group is still up for grabs. To make it official, Ireland will need to beat the eventual pick of this group. A meeting is scheduled for this Friday at 4:35 p.m.

Les Bleus have an appointment with Spain in the quarter-finals

Everything started well with the girls. The French team started their day with a very clear victory against Brazil (34-7). The Brazilians were satisfied with a converted try. As for the French, they registered no fewer than six, including two converts. Some achieved double goals like Lotos or Deso. Other tests are credited to Pelle and Haupulet. There was no time to procrastinate, because it was necessary, and then hold a second meeting. Second win over Great Britain (26-21). A more attractive selection and Les Bleus only made the final difference in the second period. The Tricolors scored four tries with a brace from Grassino and two others from Pelle and Lotus. Finally, France played for top spot in their group against New Zealand, while qualification for the quarter-finals had already been secured. The mission failed as Blue failed (12-31) despite two attempts by Grassino and Lothos. The important thing is still there, this quarter-final should be played in the future.
