FSB hits: Russian hypersonic weapons chief constructor suspected of treason

The CEO and chief constructor of the Scientific Research Company of Hypersonic Systems (NIPGSZ) were arrested on suspicion of treason and detained by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in Moscow on Thursday.

Led by Kuranov, “research and experimental studies are underway to develop a new concept of hypersonic atmospheric speed flight (Ajax concept) and key directions in hypersonic technology”.
