Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, until April 2019 Twitter “King Bows Sir for so long!” Says Mario, but no one bought it. A fan revision company published in July 2020 is making more noise as Mario says “gay bowser”.

Reported by Basket, Super Mario on the Nintendo Switch does not say “Gay Bowser” on the 3D All-Stars Mario 64 or anything. Instead, Mario says “Bu-bye!” When he throws the bow. This is because Nintendo imitated the Super Mario 64 Shindou Pak Tao version for the collection.
The lesser known version of Super Mario 64 Shindou Pak Tao was released in Japan in 1997, a year after the original. Some important differences. One of these is Mario saying “Bu-bye!” When he throws the bow, the “gay bow” line needs to be replaced as the Japanese bow is known as King Cooper.
