Ridley Scott is in the works for a new Alien movie
Ridley Scott may be working on a new “Alien” movie – but it’s said to be directed by Fede Alvarez. This is the seventh installment in a series of films.
In the 20th Century studio, a new “Alien” movie might be in production. It reports Including “The Hollywood Reporter”. Accordingly, Ridley Scott (84), who directed the original 1979 film, is said to have been involved as a producer. In terms of directing, he paves the way for a young man: filmmaker Fede Alvarez, 44, is said to be responsible for the screenplay in addition to directing.
The as-yet untitled film is not necessarily a sequel or prequel to the six-part sci-fi series, but is an independent feature film. Alvarez is very familiar with the horror genre: he has directed the feature films Uruguayan “Evil Dead” and “Don’t Breathe”.

Although the new “Alien” adventure is expected to be shown on Disney streaming platform Hulu in the United States, it will end up on the Disney + streaming service in Germany. There you will find three sequels to the previous “Alien” movies from the original 1979, as well as three sequels to the two prequels “Prometheus” and “Alien: The Covenant” and two crossover movies.
A return of film heroine Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver, 72) is probably not expected.
