Fake doctor arrested for using lollipop sticks instead of contraceptives

Venezuelan police have arrested a fake gynecologist on the 27th for allegedly inserting lollipop sticks under patients’ skin as a means of contraception.




According to investigations, Jose Daniel Lopez got a job in medical offices in the cities of La Victoria and Marrakech with false diplomas and documents. According to police, at least 25 women would have fallen victim to the fake gynecologist and some would have become pregnant.

The incident came to light after the victim informed the doctor. According to Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab, he will be held accountable for his use of illicit medicine, medical malpractice, misrepresentation, and abortion.

All women who have undergone surgery at La Pastilita or the clinic La Trinidad are advised to undergo further medical examination.
