Two explosions hit nuclear bombing bases Russia This Monday, 5, according to local newspapers. A tanker truck exploded at an airfield near Ryazan, killing three people and injuring six others, state news agency RIA reported. This was not the only airfield to record explosions. A base located 700 km away in Saratov Ukraine, attacked by drones. Roman Busargin, the governor of the region, said no civilians were injured. “I want to assure you that there was no emergency in the residential areas of the city. No need to worry,” he wrote in a telegram. Two Tu-95 strategic bombers were destroyed in the explosion. The origin of the attack was not disclosed, however, an adviser to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky hinted that Ukraine was behind the blast. “The earth is round, Galileo discovered it. In the Kremlin they did not study astronomy, preferring astrologers. If so, they know: if something is launched into the airspace of other countries, sooner or later unidentified flying objects will return to the starting position,” Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the Ukrainian president, wrote on his Twitter account. In a statement, a Kremlin spokesman said he was aware of what had happened, but said he did not have specific information about what happened. He also informed that President Vladimir Putin has been informed about the explosion. Neither Russia nor the Ukrainian Defense Ministry have commented on what happened.
