Etienne, who finished second in the Italian A1 last season, has been included in Group A along with Rakovic’s hosts and HC Loreto’s Irish. A group that included the Russians of the Dynamo-Electrostel (RUS) and the Belarusians of the GHC Rhythm Grodno, which were excluded from the competition due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

In Pool B, which includes the Russian AK Bars-Dynamo, the Czechs in Slavia Prague and the Lithuanians in Sioulia Ginstruk will face each other. The first two players in each pool will face each other in the final, which will promote the federation to which they belong at a higher level.

Coach Trinidad Canon from Valverde explains: “This is going to be a beautiful tournament. I like to play this every year to always compare us with different and high level teams. This is definitely a very exciting match. The only thing I care about is the bench, which is not very long. After the first two matches, our goal is to advance to the next round. We will play against Loreto, which is a very interesting formation. We have less of a home team, but I trust the girls and their excitement. The most important thing is to elevate our club and better represent Valverde on the European field.

Antonio Corsaro, president of the Etna Association, added: “This tournament represents a great continuation of the journey we made last season. This will help us to add the extra experience we need in the future. For us it will be a starting point, certainly not an arrival point. Also, as a Valverdes, I’m proud to be able to represent my city on the Continental Field with the club. ”
