Hamburg – Actress Eva Heberman owes a film shoot not only to a new man on her side, but also to a new passion.

Instead of standing in front of the camera as usual, the Hamburg native is now doing “free movies”, some with international actors and sometimes very weird. The 45-year-old (“Our Farm in Ireland”) told the German Press Agency that she owes her courage to slipping from the role of actress to the role of producer into a chain of happy coincidences.

“I fell in love with one of the producers during the filming of Trolls World, in which I was supposed to play a troll-affected woman.” When filming was over and her new partner’s production company was in financial trouble, the 45-year-old quickly moved to Baden-Baden to lend him a hand. “Time was like an internship for me. It convinced me how much I could study and how much I enjoyed making movies.”

The fact that Hebermann did not want to limit himself to the creative implementation of his film ideas can be seen in her third self-produced film, “Syst,” which will be released on October 22, for which she has US colleagues like Jason. Douglas (“The Walking Dead”) and trash cult star Greg Cestero. In horror comedy, the actress plays the role of an honest nurse who follows the killer cyst monster after a failed experiment.

However, she is not afraid to scare her regular audience with such weird things. “I still” usually do regular series like Das Tromschif. But you have to do something extraordinary to be noticed as a freelance filmmaker, ”she said.
