Published on

This Saturday, Dec. 10, the Revelois Country Club’s association immerses itself in country culture with an evening hosted by the Sailor Step Country Band Group in the Claude-Naugaro Room at 9 p.m. You can leave with a “surprise gift” as a souvenir of the evening and attend the screening of two western films with subtitles.

A little history

Country music is a blend of traditional music developed primarily in the southeastern United States and Europe such as Ireland. Rhythmic or drawn, emotional or dynamic, it traces its origins to folk music imported from Europe, especially Celtic. It is a style of music that is deeply intertwined with multiple instruments, such as the Italian mandolin, the Hawaiian lap-steel or the African banjo. Country music has millions of fans around the world, especially in the United States. The city of Nashville, Tennessee is the iconic heart of country music. So dance in a group in your Stetson hats and “Santiags” boots!
