England and Ireland would like to apply to host

Published on

Munich / London – The UK and Ireland-led Great Britain Football Associations would like to jointly apply to host the 2028 European Championships. On the other hand, the host role for the 2030 World Cup is off the table. “It would be an honor and privilege to host Euro 2028 together and to welcome the whole of Europe,” the statement said.

In addition to England and Ireland, associations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will also support the auction. Plans to host the 2030 World Cup together were buried on the other side. Most recently, England’s bid for the 2018 World Cup in Russia failed.

The UK government said it supported the decision of the five football governing bodies, adding that they were “excited” to bring a World Cup to Britain and Ireland at the right time.

The application alone will cost around മൂന്ന് 3 billion

Funds equivalent to 3. 3.3 million have already been offered for the feasibility study of the application for the 2028 European Championship.

The 2028 and 2032 European Championships will be jointly hosted by UEFA. All five associations now have until March 23 to submit their documents. In April, UEFA intends to announce the approved applicants.

The next European Championship will be held in 2024 in Germany.
