Germany will face Iceland or co-hosts Hungary in the group stage of the European Championship next year. Both countries reached the play-off final on Thursday evening and the winner gets a ticket to the final round, which has been postponed to next year. Group D (Georgia 1-0 Belarus, North Macedonia 2-1 Kosovo)
The first finalist for the playoffs crystallized with Georgia early in the morning. Eastern Europeans beat Torneik Okriashvili (seventh) 1-0 against Belarus. In the second match, North Macedonia held on 2-1 against Kosovo. For North Macedonians, Kosovar Benjamin Cololi (16) and Darko Velkoski (33) equalized while Florent Hederjonaj equalized (29).
