According to police, armed robbers exploded in broad daylight at Europe’s largest maestrich (Netherlands) art fair this morning, and a video shows suspicious people smashing through windows.
“Police are investigating a possible armed robbery at the TEFAF (Art Fair) in Maastricht. It is suspected that four accused were involved. Several units are looking for them, ”police in the Dutch province of Limburg wrote on Twitter. Police said two people were then arrested and several nearby roads were cleared.
According to Dutch media, the window of the shop where the robbers were targeted contained products from a jewelery shop in London. A video posted on social media shows four men in smart clothes, hats and glasses being pushed out of a shop window. When a man tries to step on a large pot full of flowers, two men point to what look like weapons. TEFAF (European Fine Art Fair) is one of the largest art and antique fairs on the planet, usually attracting tens of thousands of visitors.
