National coach Hansie Flick is “very positive” about the final Nations League match against Italy this season.
“We are very pleased with the development,” Flick said in Budapest before leaving for Germany, despite having played the last four 1-1 games in a row. Flick reports that all 25 players on the team will be available against the European champions on Tuesday (8.45 pm / ZDF). Serge Gnabrick lost 1-1 in Hungary on Saturday due to calf problems.
Against Italy “This is recalculated and we want to have all the grain in it,” Flick said, repeating the clear declaration that he wants to win. “Four draws will help me …” Flick broke down his sentence and continued “… I do not think it’s good because I want to win.”
Success is “always important to a team and will always be there to improve your own confidence,” the national coach said. “Elemental may be a little exaggerated, but it’s good that our efforts are being rewarded.
