Irish comedy series Derry Girls finally has a Netflix launch date. The third and final season will launch internationally in early October.
In the spring of 2022, Channel 4 aired the final season of Derry Girls, ending a hit and popular comedy series. Fans had to wait until the end for news about Season 3 in Germany, and now there is good news. Streaming service Netflix – where the series has found a home outside of the UK and Ireland – has announced the international release dates for the new episodes. This year sees the final chapter in the lives of Erin Quinn (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell), Claire (Nicola Coughlan), Orla (Louisa Harland), James (Dylan Llewellyn) and Michelle’s cousin.
A further farewell
Netflix has confirmed October 7, 2022 as the official launch date “Derry Girls” Season 3. German fans just have to wait a few more weeks to see the lively Klik again. The final season consisted of seven episodes in total. The final episode is an extra-long special to help fans say goodbye to the comedy series.

“Derry Girls” is ending, but the stars of the series are starting new projects. Nicola Coghlan – who played “The Wee Lesbian” Claire Devlin – has landed a starring role in the Netflix series Bridgerton. Her character Penelope becomes the focus of the story in “Bridgerton” Season 3. Sawyers-Monica Jackson will star if DC blockbuster ‘The Flash’ airs after lead actor Ezra Miller’s misbehavior Louisa Harland stars in new drama series The Ballad of Renegade Nell and Dylan Llewellyn stars in British series Big Boys, which many already think is a secret sequel to Derry Girls.
