In Friday hour-long episode (September 11), reveals that Ray paid someone to build a sinkhole in Platts’ back garden.
Pretending to show support after the incident, Ray allowed the plot to remain in one of his hotels until the damage was done, but tonight’s scenes revealed his real agenda when he asked a developer friend to buy a house from David.

When David revealed to the family that he wanted to sell the house, he left Sarah alone, pointing out that the children were the same.
However, Shona, who has been struggling to stay in touch with her husband since she lost her memory, feels how much she loves spending time with David and is now ready to go back with him. The couple then exchanged a kiss.
Following this big development, David called Bistro and told Ray that he had changed his mind about selling the house because Shona would go back with him.
Ray tried to hide his annoyance, but his frustrated viewers could see. However, we know that his dangerous plans to take home have never happened like that sinkhole.
Coronation Street Bosses had previously revealed that Ray’s masterplan would create a big story for the show’s 60th anniversary in December.
