Coronation Street Ian Bartholomew has hinted that the final arrival of Geoff Metcalfe is imminent.
Son Tim and Geoff lost their last remaining ally Finally saw his true nature, But he still remains a free man, and has not faced the full consequences of his work.
In a new chat with the next issue of Inside the soap – Tuesday (September 22) – Ian talks about what’s next for Geoff, hinting that justice will come closer.
“Now that Tim is in the picture, I think we should see this as the beginning of Geoff’s end,” Ian told the magazine.

“He’s losing more control, he’s less in control, and I do not think it’s going to end well no matter what happens.
“We want to hate a bodybuilder, and we’ll see someone like Jeff get his arrival, so I doubt he will.
“Let’s be honest – Jeff is going to get it!”
Ian spoke to the magazine to match his nominations Inside Soap Award 2020. He has long been listed as Best Actor and Best Villain. Meanwhile, Jeff’s abusive wife Yasmeen was selected in the Best Show-Stopper category for the dramatic moment she fought against him.

Reflecting on the nodes, Ian laughed: “This is all so exciting! The actors will always tell you that awards don’t matter, of course until you’re ready for one – and then they’re so important!”
“Your work is very pleasing and extremely pleasing to other people, so I’m happy and humbled by it.”
