(Pocket-Lint) – Google unveiled the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G on September 30th along with a new Chromecast and Nest audio speaker.
The Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A5G leaked a lot until they were revealed, but the details, along with the official details, are the question of how they compare to each other and how they can be compared to the recently launched Pixel 4A.
Here are the features of Pixel 5 vs Pixel 4A and Pixel 4A5G to help you figure out which 2020 pixel is right for you.
- Pixel 5: 144.7 x 70.4 x 8 mm

The Google Pixel 5 comes in a brushed aluminum body, Just Black and Sortage color options, and features a square rear camera and housing in the top left corner.
There is a physical fingerprint sensor in the center of the rear, and in the upper left corner of the display is a punch hole camera and low bezels.
The Pixel 5 is smaller than the Pixel 4A5G, offering an IPX8 water and dust resistance, which eliminates Pixel 4A and Pixel 4A5G.
The Pixel 4A has a polycarbonate rear, similar to the Pixel 5, with a square camera and housing in the upper left corner on the back, a physical fingerprint sensor on the back, and a punch hole camera on the top left of the display.
The Pixel 4A only comes in Black, and the Pixel 5 has a 3.5mm headphone jack that is not offered.
The Pixel 4A5G offers the same design as the Pixel 4A with a polycarbonate body than the brushed aluminum like the Pixel5A, but it is larger than the 4G device and larger than the Pixel 5A. It’s just black, with a 3.5mm headphone jack on board again.
- Pixel 5: 6-inch, OLED, 90Hz
- Pixel 4A5G: 6.2 inches, LED, 60 Hz
- Pixel 4a: 5.81-inch, OLED, 60Hz
The Google Pixel 5 has a 6-inch LED display that, unlike previous years, is only one device longer than the standard, XL model.
The resolution is 2340 x 1080 pixels with a resolution of 432 ppi pixels, which supports HDR with a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. It also has a 90Hz upgrade rate.
The Pixel 4A5G has a 6.2-inch display and LEDs, but a 60Hz upgrade. The resolution is Full HD + like pixel 5 and 4A, resulting in a pixel density of 413 pp.
At the same time, the Pixel 4A offers 443 ppi with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels with a 5.81 inch display. It is also LED, with a standard 60 Hz upgrade rate and HDR support.

The Google Pixel 5 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset with 5G integration. The Pixel 4A5G runs on this chipset as well as the Pixel 4A Qualcomm Snapdragon 730.
The Pixel 5 has 8GB of RAM and the Pixel 4A5G and Pixel 4A have 6GB of RAM. Everyone has 128GB of internal storage, and none of the models have a microSD card.
The Pixel 5 has a 4000 mAh battery, the Pixel 4A5G has a 3800 mAh battery and the Pixel 4A has a 3140 mAh battery.
- Pixel 5: 16MP + 12.2MP, 8MP
- Pixel 4A5G: 16MP + 12.2MP, 8MP
- Pixel 4A: 12.2MP, 8MP
The Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A5G have a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 12.2-megapixel lens with f / 2.2 aperture and f / 1.7 aperture. Their front camera is an 8 megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture.
Their features include Night Site in Portrait Mode, Portrait Lite, and HDR + with Bracketing.
The Pixel 4A’s sensor offers a 12.2 megapixel 1.4µm sensor with pixel 4, f / 1.7 lens and optical image stabilization, as well as all the pixel 4’s AI capabilities, night site with astrophotography mode and top shot portrait. The front camera is an 8 megapixel sensor.
The Google Pixel 5 Pixel delivers similar power to the 4A5G, but with a little extra RAM and a larger battery capacity, and a slightly more premium design with a brushed aluminum body instead of a polycarbonate body.
The Pixel 5 comes with wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, waterproofing and a fast refresh rate for the display.
While offering 5G connectivity and the same camera setup as the Pixel 5, the Pixel 4A5G is more powerful and larger than the Pixel 4A. If you are happy to cultivate a few features and more premium then this is a nice medium device. Make pixel 5.
