The Affiliated Press, United Push Global, CBS Information and NPR News must post suitable paperwork to the Chinese federal government inside 7 times, International Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said Wednesday at a typical press briefing.
“China is compelled to consider these measures to counter the US’ unreasonable suppression of Chinese media in the US,” Zhao explained. “They are solely self-protection.”
“The US measures are primarily based on Chilly War mentality and ideological prejudices,” Zhao extra. “They have severely harmed Chinese media’s track record and image, and very seriously disrupted their standard operations in the US.”
