Children in need 2020 | When on the BBC? Start time, how to look

The BBC is preparing for the biggest nights of entertainment – 2020 is time for kids.

Although this year’s live appeal show will look a little different because of the corona virus pandemic, we will still see a big lineup performance in Bonanza.

Hosts Mel Gedroic, Alex Scott, Chris Ramsay and Stephen Mangan join the night’s pudding beer. On top of that, we see various celebrities stopping by to help an important charity that is helping underprivileged children across the UK.

We look forward to seeing the performances of Beverly Knight, McFly and Shawn Mendis throughout the night.

The BBC Kids will air the 2020 Appeal Show of Demand Friday, November 13th On BBC One from 7 p.m.

A variety of celebrities are expected to appear at the 2020 Appeal Show, including presenter Matt Baker, who is returning to celebrate the tenth anniversary of his children’s much-needed rickshaw challenge.

There will also be exclusive clips from shows such as East Entertainers, Strictly Come Dancing and Doctor Who, and a special section will feature repair shop experts led by Jay Blade.

On the show, Danny Dyer will appear with a crossover special The Wall, while East Enter stars Tony Clay and Roger Griffith will face tactical questions about soap.

Performances for children in need

Throughout the live show, stunning numbers from Cinderella: The Musical and Six, as well as special children including stars such as Shawn Mendis, Beverly Knight and McFly, will be considered by viewers to perform as COVID can safely get as many people as possible to sing their hit ‘Happiness’.

There will be performances by Strictly Come dancing professionals and comedy sketches from the casts of King Gary and The Goes Wrong Show.

While the full schedule of the appeal show has not yet been released by the BBC, many kids are expected to look forward to the week from DIY SOS’s The Big Build to the Celebrity Edition of the University Challenge.

Wednesday, November 11, 7.30pm (BBC One) – Life at Lockdown
Described by Emma Willis, this documentary examines how children and young people across the UK are experiencing the effects of the Pandemic and reveals how vital support is being provided to children in need financial assistance schemes.

Thursday, November 12, 8pm (BBC One) – Big Build: Kids in need
Nick Knowles returns for a special episode of DIY SOS, where the presenter and crew turn a broken and unused bus shelter into the world’s first fully adaptive surf center.

Thursday, November 12 at 10pm (BBC Two) University Challenge Special
In this particular episode of University Challenge, ITV and the BBC go head-to-head, with Ian Stirling, Charlene White, Fay Ripley and Joel Domet once again facing Dara O’Brien, Anita Rani, Dane Baptiste and Steve Pemberton.

Friday, November 13 at 7pm (BBC One) – Live Show
BBC Children in Need celebrates its 40th anniversary with a special evening on television. Performances by McFly, Beverly Knight and Shawn Mendis.

Alex Scott and Chris Ramsey present key features from the BBC Children of Need for the past 40 years.
