Chris Jones, the Chiefs’ Pro Bowl defensive tackle, is threatening to pull a Le’Veon Bell. Jones desires a new deal and is apparently prepared to sit out a complete year to get 1.
Responding to an NFL Community report that there is “a great deal of work” for the two sides to arrive to an agreement ahead of the July 15 deadline, Jones tweeted: “Or I will not play. Le’Veon Bell instructed me about this.”
Bell sat out the overall 2018 year though a member of the Steelers to get what he wanted. He did get his revenue, landing a four-year agreement with the Jets that could fork out him as a great deal as $61 million if he reaches all of the incentives in the offer.
There are some massive dissimilarities, of training course. Bell was on his next franchise tag in 2018. Jones, 25, is only on his initial, indicating he may well have to sit out two seasons to get his huge dollars offer. He would gain $16.1 million if he plays this year beneath the franchise tag.
Jones, the NFL Network described, needs upwards of more than $20 million per year. Only 5 defensive gamers in the NFL make an ordinary income above $20 million: Khalil Mack, Aaron Donald, DeMarcus Lawrence, DeForest Buckner and Frank Clark.
Jones is a stellar participant. The 37th general select in 2016, he had 15 sacks in 2018 and nine past calendar year immediately after shifting from defensive close to defensive deal with.
