Caroline Weber is the new head of corporate communications at Unilever in Germany, Austria and Switzerland / Unilever appoints a successor from its own ranks

HAMBURG (ots) – Caroline Weber (37), née Hoyer, takes over the management of corporate communications and corporate affairs at Unilever in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) and becomes a member of the leadership team. She succeeds Constantin Bark, who has moved to Unilever Group headquarters in London.

The personnel changes come in the wake of the group’s global reorganization announced at the start of the year. From now on, individual divisions of the company are more focused and managed as end-to-end accountable business groups. In this context, corporate communication gains importance as a link between business sectors. One of the most important goals is more agile, targeted and transparent communication with all relevant stakeholders.

“With Caroline, we gain a proven communication expert with a good feel for people and issues. She has helped shape the company’s political agenda for years and convinces them with a great understanding of the world of traditional and digital media,” says Stefan Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Unilever in Germany.

Caroline Weber started her career in Customer Marketing UK & Ireland at Unilever in 2009 and moved to Hamburg in 2011. She has been part of the communication team for the DACH region since 2013, during which time she has built issue management and is responsible for the company’s sustainability agenda. She designed and successfully executed several internal and external campaigns, thus playing a key role in promoting Unilever’s reputation.
