After 13 months and three boat cancellations, James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor finally meet inside the Bellator cage at Bellator Europe 9’s major event in Milan. The result of all expectations was an easy victory for “The Strabanimal”.

Gallagher and Eleanor traded kicks for a short moment before the Irishman got a move, and Eleanor immediately recovered. Gallagher did not waste time working on the bare chokes and neck cranks on the back. With 30 seconds left on the clock, he locked the old one and forced Ellenor to tap at the 4:31 mark of the opening frame.

“I’m the best I’ve ever been to,” Gallagher said after the victory. “I did not speak. Only one time – they say all this talk, all this talk, I kept my mouth shut for months, and yet I come and do it. Silence to the entire F ****** Division. Silence. “

Now winning four battles and 8-1 at the Bellator banner, Gallagher told his opponents that he was “very smart” and asked Bellator to give everyone a big bag of money. f ****** One of them ”Next.

“Give me that belt,” Gallagher said. “That’s mine.”

In the co-headliner, middleweights Charlie Ward and Andy Manzolo began to apply shots from outside the gate, shaking Ward Manzolo for the first 60 seconds. Mansolo immediately lowered him down and stepped back to take a naked breath behind him, but could not secure the finish.

Ward decided to talk a few trash cans to the opponent between rounds, saying “I hope you don’t get tired” and Mansolo was seen throwing in a bucket. In the last 10 minutes Ward stood on top and worked on the ground and on the pound and won a unanimous decision but both fighters slowed down in the second square.

The main card opener enjoyed five minutes in the 160-pound catch-weight match between Kiefer Crosby and Charlie Lear.

Crosby was the first to shake the opponent, forcing Leary to shoot for a single leg removal, ending several knees to the temple. Then, Leary got back on his feet and scored the first of three knockdowns in the opening round. Crosby was able to survive the round, but the doctor called it because of damage to his left eye.

Under the Bellator banner, Leary (17-11-1) is now 3-2 after the TKO victory, returning him to the victory column after losing to Tim Wilde in November 2019.

In the preliminary card, SBG’s Sainad Kavanagh won a decisive victory over former Invicta FC bantamweight title contender Katarina Lehner. Irish Featherweight is now on her first winning streak since joining Bellator in 2016.

Prelims also include Italian welterweight Carlo Pedersoli Jr. and co-bellator newcomer Accodon Duke. Duke, who has dedicated two-thirds of his previous MMA victories, shook the UFC veteran twice with his right hand in the first two rounds on his way to a unanimous decision victory.
