With plans to reach France by the end of the year, Paramount + already has about 40 million subscribers. In total, Paramount’s streaming offers, including Showtime, exceed 60 million customers.
With the HBO Max, Paramount + is the best platform to find time before settling in France. It’s true that existing CBS All Access customers have taken advantage of this, but the upgrade to Paramount + felt more like a fresh start than a continuum.
Total 62 million subscribers
In the first quarter of 2022, when Netflix and others slowed down, Paramount gained 6.8 million subscribers. In the last quarter, there were even 7.3 million to join the platform ranks. Showtime figures under Paramount Global add up but at the expense of customers and many other small services, for a total of 62 million subscribers at the end of the first quarter, all platforms combined. according to VarietyParamount Global’s boss Bob Buckish recalls that an app that brings Paramount + and Showtime together will arrive this summer – this is the version we’ll find in France.
Strictly speaking, the Hill Company said a little more about its expansion plan. As expected, it will land in Paramount + France in the second half of 2022, perhaps by the end of the year. The target is 100 million

All of this combined led to 82% annual revenue streaming in Paramount. The targets are therefore revised upwards and are particularly desirable: no less than 100 million subscribers by the end of 2024. As it is already difficult, Netflix sees competition coming from all sides. It’s not going to calm down.
