Rodkil is a four-part series that tells the story of Minister Peter Lawrence and how he balances his personal and professional life.
In the first episode, fans will see how he is on the verge of promotion, and the high standard remains when he celebrates winning a defamation case against a newspaper.
But a woman who claims to have known Peter reveals a secret about her past that will turn his world upside down.
The series touches on issues including crime and corruption within the government, turning it into the world of Conservative leadership.
The creators and actors explained that although the series touches on the topic we read every day, it is not based on real events.

The BBC calls the series an “imaginary thriller” that indicates it is not inspired by a real-life event or character.
The show was written by David Hair, and he gave an introduction to the series, explaining that there are very few stories about the Conservative-led government.
He explained: “It’s hard to remember that a lot of television drama based on documentary events is now the primary trigger of fiction.
“My hero Peter Lawrence is not based on anyone, not any other characters. Mine is a world parallel to the real world, and there is no secret between the two.

He said he found it very interesting to write about the Conservatives, which led him to conclusions that fans did not expect.
At any rate, fans meet Peter Lawrence as he moves from the center of the cabinet to a higher position within the government.
He is not a person who shows any kind of guilt or remorse, and sometimes even exalts the value of success over the feelings of those who really care.
Actress Helen MacRory plays Don Ellison as the Prime Minister in this series. She said she was drawn to the role because of the sharpness of writing about right-wing politics.
In this series, the political climate is similar to what Britain has seen for the past 30 years.
MacRory added: “These are not real people, this is not a revelation piece about something that David Hair discovered, it’s a discussion in his mind about how politicians should move forward and what politicians really are.”
With this in mind, the series aims to provide an imaginary fly-on-the-wall wall of what happens behind closed doors.

The main themes of this series include ambition and the struggle we are willing to put forward to achieve something.
The episodes will explain the dangers of politicians being willing to go where they want to go on the political ladder and what they have to pay to get there.
Pippa Bennett-Warner presents Rochelle Madeleine, the high-flying barrister in the series, and explains a little more about when the series is set. She said: “I think the show does a good job of representing what is happening now in our political climate, but as David himself has said, it’s not based on anything, it’s in an imaginary universe.”
Fans and critics who gave a first look at the series said the show has high expectations. One person said on Twitter: “David Hayer ‘Rodkill’ is absolutely promising. It looks like an attempt at a HOAs off card (BBC version) for this exciting modern age. Hugh Lori’s character is basically a Johnson / Farage hybrid.
Audiences are eager to see Lori take on a new role, as he is best known as the title character in the House House – medical drama series.
He is best known for his performances in The Night Manager and Black Adder, and was the father of the 1999 film Stuart Little.
Fans have already expressed excitement for the new series on Twitter, saying, “I’m looking forward to #Rodkill. Hugh Lowry … a slippery MP. Yes please!”
The series also stars Lilly, the daughter of The Last Kingdom actress Millie Brady Peter, and Helen, wife of Saskia Reeves.
Dublin Murders and Ordinary People’s Actress Sarah Green plays Charmaine Pepper, a journalist.
