Argos has apologized to PS5 fans after some were disappointed with the release of new stock this morning.
Consumers flocked to the Argos website in the early hours of Thursday (Thursday, December 3) following the news that an additional stock store for the popular PlayStation Games console had been released.
However, by the time most people wake up this morning, the stock has already sold out.
Fans quickly took to social media to express frustration at not getting the new PS5, with some claiming that their order was processed before it was later canceled.
One customer posted on Twitter: “I like how people say PS5 has stock on Argos_Online, but when I go to the trolley it says’ I can’t check the stock. I do the same thing for 30 minutes”.
Another added: “So I was finally able to order and finish for a PS5, but it was immediately canceled. It took my money, but it would not allow me to try again, because each of its customers now has one? …. “
The third said: “I got a phone call to Argos about my PS5 saying the reservation had been canceled, and the payment was refunded but the order seems to have passed! If you receive a confirmation email I’m sure you received the text.”
An Argos spokesman said in a statement to Essex Live: “Users are excited about the new PlayStation.
“We released a small amount of extra stock and we saw a lot of customers trying to place their orders with us and we just sold out.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.”
Argos is now working to deal with very few customers who may encounter problems when placing orders.
Anyone who does not receive a confirmation email within two hours of placing an order will find that the order will not be successful.
The bank will erase any pending transactions against your card payment, so Argos will not receive the money.
