The happy Anthony Joshua claims that Tyson Fury has turned a sad nibble into a crazy joke – Britain’s world heavyweight kings clash over AJ’s promise to control his biggest rival.
Three-belt champion Joshua says Gypsy King “only wants to smash your face” after Fury is provoked.
AJ Kavil suggested that Fury join his match room team because he was “a superstar in production … with proper management”.
But he responded that Fury was not a joking joke as a real jab: “Anthony Joshua, have you ever told me, I’m not going to be a superstar or a celebrity?”
“I’m a fighter, I just want to smash your face. You keep stardom, I’m really going to stay, #Ubigdoser I’re coming for a superstar, tick tock tick tock.”
Joshua, now 31, accused the 32-year-old of indulging in bait too easily.
He said: “It was just a tongue in cheek and I was playing with Tyson Fury.
“He was silent! He could not handle it!”
AJ and Fury are set to battle it out for their four titles next year – Joshua defeated IBF compulsor Kubrat Pulev (39) in front of a thousand fans at Wembley Arena this Saturday.
Match room promoter Eddie Hear said the British only need to take their regular salaries to continue fighting in this country.
The Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, can provide even greater wealth.
Therefore, both fighters must play a role in reducing costs to ensure that one of Britain’s greatest battles continues on these shores.
