Annual meeting of the Small Advanced Economies Initiative in Basel

The Annual General Meeting of the Small Advanced Economies Initiative will begin on Monday, October 24, 2022 in Basel.

In 2022, Switzerland will host the Annual Principals Meeting (Annual General Meeting) of the Small Advanced Economies Initiative for the first time.

The conference will take place from 23 to 26 October 2022 at the Marriott Hotel in Basel.

The Government Council organizes the first day of the Congress, including dinner at the Wenckenhof.

The Small Advanced Economies Initiative brings together seven countries (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Israel, New Zealand, Singapore and Switzerland) that are all considered advanced economies, at similar levels of economic and social development, and with populations of less than 10 million. .

High ranking partners are expected

Around 70 dignitaries are expected to attend the conference in Basel. The Swiss delegation will arrive on Monday evening EDA-Secretary of State Livia Liu.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, two State Secretaries, Hélène Budliger Artieda (State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO) and Martina Hirayama (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation, SERI) will also participate in the conference.
